Background:
We were contacted by an international accounting firm to assist them in evaluating the correctness of an amount claimed by their client. The objective was to prepare an expert report that would be submitted to a court of law in another country.

Work Conducted by our team included:

• Verifying the authenticity of the claim.
• Recalculate some of the claimed items based on the correct figures provided.
• In collaboration with the international accounting firm, we prepared the expert report that was submitted to the court of law.

The outcome

• As a result of our report, the parties accepted to settle out of court and the value of the claim was reduced from USD 25,000,000 to USD 6,000,000.
